Privacy notice

Draft. This is a short version of the privacy notice in the business legal pack, which is not yet signed off. The retention periods and international transfer safeguards are still open.

Who we are

Albitor Ltd is the controller of the personal data this notice describes. Write to data-protection@albitor.com about anything in it. Albitor Ltd is registered with the ICO under number ZC179455.

What this notice covers

This website, and email between you and Albitor. It does not cover the tools Albitor builds and hosts for customers. For those, the customer controls the data, and Albitor processes it on the customer's behalf under their contract.

This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from any other website.

When you request a page, the servers that deliver it record your IP address, your browser's user-agent, the page requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the time. We use that log to deliver the site, to find faults and to investigate abuse. We don't use it to profile you, and we don't combine it with anything else. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Email

If you email us, we keep your name, your email address and what you write, so that we can reply and keep a record of the conversation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us. If you are discussing becoming a customer, it is steps taken at your request before a contract.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we store your email address, the time you first joined, the time you last submitted the form, and how many times you submitted it. We use them only to send you an invite when there is a place. They are held on our own hosting in the UK (London). We delete them about 3 months after you last submitted the form, and copies in our backups are removed within a further 35 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running an invite-only service. To have your address removed, email hello@albitor.com.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Email data-protection@albitor.com. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
